The aim of this study is to define the concept moral grandstanding and discuss its antecedents, motivations behind it, implications. Moral described as contributing discourse persuade others that one morally respectable. Individuals who value their standing are more concerned about own self than topics they claim discuss. Therefore, it likely individuals perform may be high on narcissistic personality trait. Although can bring reputation fame individuals, associated with society contribution in some cases. While advertising prosocial behavior, individuals’ true motivation not obvious. Thus, essential understand actual for behavior question well level narcissism order whether considered an example grandstanding. Pathological intrinsic-extrinsic self-determination theory were used extend current understanding present study. Lastly, real-life implications discussed reference issues like pandemic.
